Olympia police detectives were set to interview a man Sunday who was apparently stabbed in the neck Saturday night.

The man was admitted to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia in critical but stable condition, Lt. Paul Lower said.

The man, thought to be in his 30s, was dropped off at the hospital about 9 p.m. with the stab wound. He was in no condition to explain what had happened to him Saturday night, so detectives were hoping to interview him on Sunday, Lower said.
