Graham woman faces vehicular assault charge after Saturday wreck in Thurston County

A 39-year-old Graham woman is facing possible charges of driving under the influence and vehicular assault after she crashed her pick-up truck into a tree near Yelm Saturday night, according to Washington State Patrol.

A 39-year-old Graham woman could face charges of driving under the influence and vehicular assault after she crashed her pick-up truck into a tree near Yelm Saturday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 8:30 p.m. Saturday, the Graham woman was headed west on state Route 510, near Yelm, when troopers say she drove off the road to the right and struck a tree.

The Graham woman was hurt and so was her passenger, a 38-year-old woman from Roy. The Graham woman was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia and the Roy woman was sent to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The road was blocked for more than three hours, according to the State Patrol.
