Three people have been displaced and one of them suffered minor injuries after fire damaged a house in the 1500 block of Draham Street Northeast late Sunday, according to Lacey Fire District 3.

Fire crews responded about 11:30 p.m. March 5 to find the house engulfed in flames. Draham Street is north of I-5 between Britton Parkway Northeast and 15th Avenue Northeast.

Battalion Chief Steve Crimmins said the person who suffered minor injuries drove themselves to an area hospital.

Firefighters also rescued and revived a cat that was trapped in the house. He said the American Red Cross was contacted to help the residents find a place to stay.

Crimmins said the house was under 1,000 square feet and suffered extensive damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
