Driver takes chunk out of tree during rollover crash on Sunday in Lacey

Lacey Fire District 3 responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Sunday afternoon in the 5400 block of Mullen Road SE in Lacey.

According to the fire department’s social media, crews responded to the incident around 2:30 p.m. It’s believed the driver was suffering from some sort of medical issue that caused them drive off the road, where the vehicle struck a tree and rolled. When crews arrived, they found the car on its top.

The driver was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia in stable condition, according to the fire department.

Westbound lanes of traffic were closed for some time Sunday.
