Emergency workers on Saturday reported the death of a woman in an encampment near Interstate 5 in Thurston County.

Crews responded Saturday morning to reports of an unconscious person in a tent in the encampment near southbound I-5 and Sleater Kinney Road.

The Washington State Patrol said in a release that the woman, 33, was pronounced dead after the units arrived on scene.

Investigators withheld the person’s name pending notification of next of kin.

No further details were immediately available.
