A 34-year-old woman who died Saturday afternoon in a Thurston County car wreck has been identified, according to the county coroner.

Holly Hudson of Tacoma was driving south in the 15600 block of Bald Hill Road Southeast about 3:30 p.m. Saturday when she came to a curve in the road, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

Meanwhile, a pickup truck towing a flatbed trailer was approaching the curve from the other direction, Sheriff’s Lt. Cameron Simper told The Olympian.

The woman crossed the center line, and although the driver of the truck tried to avoid a collision, the woman struck the trailer, Simper said. She died at the scene.

The pickup truck driver and his passenger were not injured, Simper said.

Hudson’s medical exam is set for Tuesday, Coroner Gary Warnock said.
