A home north of Olympia was destroyed by fire Monday night, Olympia and Lacey fire officials say.

About 8:40 p.m. Monday, Olympia, Lacey and other Thurston County fire crews were dispatched to a structure fire in the 3000 block of Lindell Road Northeast, north of Martin Way and between South Bay and Lilly roads.

Crews arrived to find the fire well under way with flames showing. No occupants or pets were hurt in the fire because they were out of the house when the fire started, Lacey fire officials said via social media.

Four residents lived in the house, Lacey Fire District 3 Battalion Chief Pat Harn said Tuesday.

Olympia fire officials described the structure as a total loss.

Lacey fire crews remained at the site late Monday night to continue to extinguish the blaze and to investigate its cause.
