If you’re headed north on Interstate 5 Thursday, be prepared for congestion near Lacey for a good part of the day.

That’s because the right lane of northbound I-5 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday so that crews can replace equipment used in a vehicular traffic data monitoring program.

The work is located at milepost 110 near Carpenter Road, according to WSDOT. Drivers are asked to leave earlier or later in the day or to reschedule trips.
