A 73-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and first-degree assault for his role in a collision on Pacific Avenue near Lacey Sunday afternoon, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office and jail information.

The wreck involved a motorcycle and may have been triggered by road rage, the Sheriff’s Office said via social media.

About 4 p.m. Sunday, deputies were dispatched to a “serious injury collision” on Pacific Avenue and David Street, which is just west of Union Mills Road.

All lanes of westbound Pacific Avenue were closed following the incident.

Anyone with information or video of the wreck is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at detectives@co.thurston.wa.us.
