A 23-year-old man suspected of driving under the influence faces a possible vehicular assault charge in connection with a wreck Monday evening in Grays Harbor County, according to Washington State Patrol.

Three people were injured, including the 23-year-old Tacoma man, according to State Patrol.

About 7:30 p.m., the Tacoma man and his 23-year-old female passenger from Hoquiam were headed east on U.S. Highway 12 near Central Park at a “speed above the posted limit,” a State Patrol memo reads.

Meanwhile, a 68-year-old Aberdeen woman was making a left turn from U.S. 12 to Hill Road. Troopers say the two drivers crashed head-on in the eastbound lane of U.S. 12.

The Tacoma man was taken to Tacoma General Hospital, while his passenger went to Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. The Aberdeen driver was taken to Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma.
