Man, 41, flown to area hospital after he is ejected from motorcycle, State Patrol says

A 41-year-old motorcyclist, suspected of driving under the influence and driving too fast, was injured in Mason County and flown to a Tacoma hospital early Sunday, according to Washington State Patrol.

About 1:10 a.m., troopers say the Montesano man was heading west at a high speed on state Route 108, near Skookum Creek, when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a guardrail on the westbound shoulder. The motorcyclist was ejected into the westbound lane, while the motorcycle crossed into the eastbound lane and hit an embankment.

The man was airlifted to Tacoma General Hospital.
