A 48-year-old woman who died Thursday afternoon while driving on state Route 510 east of Lacey has been identified by the Thurston County Coroner’s Office.

About 5:10 p.m. Aug. 24, Julianne Hassinger of Yelm was headed east on SR 510, just west of Old Pacific Highway. Troopers say she veered onto the right shoulder, then over-corrected her steering and crossed all lanes to the north side of the road where she crashed into a ditch and tree.

Hassinger died at the scene, according to the Washington State Patrol. Her autopsy is set for Tuesday, Aug. 29, Coroner Gary Warnock said.

Following the wreck, the road was closed for more than four hours, according to the State Patrol.
