A 34-year-old Olympia woman was flown to a Tacoma hospital early Sunday after she drove the wrong way on I-5 and crashed into a semi-truck, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The woman is suspected of driving under the influence.

About 3:20 a.m., the woman was headed north in the southbound lanes of I-5 in Tumwater.

Meanwhile, the semi-truck, which was being driven by a 53-year-old Olympia man, was headed south in the southbound lanes. Troopers say the woman crashed head-on into the truck.

The Olympia semi driver was not injured. The woman was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma.
