A 47-year-old woman riding a motorcycle is dead and the driver seriously injured after both were ejected from the bike Saturday afternoon near Ocean Shores, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Both are from Falls City, Oregon, which is near Salem. She died at the scene, while the 47-year-old man driving the motorcycle was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

About 4:20 p.m. Saturday, the Oregonians were headed south on state Route 109 at state Route 115 in Grays Harbor County.

Troopers say a 46-year-old female Aberdeen driver failed to yield during a left turn and crashed head-on into the motorcycle. She was not injured and neither was her 56-year-old male passenger from Hoquiam.

A third driver also was involved in the wreck, but the 46-year-old man from Hoquiam was not hurt.
