Man who died after crashing his dirt bike in Capitol Forest has been identified

A 59-year-old man who died over the weekend in the Grays Harbor County area of Capitol Forest has been identified, according to Washington State Patrol.

About 11:40 a.m. Sunday, Chris R. Shoemaker of Woodinville was riding his dirt bike on Forest Service Road A4100.

Troopers say he struck an object on the trail, flew over the handlebars and landed in front of the bike. He died at the scene, according to State Patrol.
