A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree arson Friday night after fire damaged mobile homes and vehicles near Lacey, according to Lacey Fire District 3 and Thurston County Sheriff’s Office information.

About 9:10 p.m. Friday, fire crews and deputies were dispatched to a mobile home park in the 6800 block of Martin Way East after a report that one of the homes was engulfed in flames.

The fire burned three mobile homes and three vehicles, Lacey Fire Battalion Chief Steve Crimmins said Sunday.

One of the homes was destroyed, a second home sustained about 50 percent damage to it, and the third home had some minor damage, he said.

No one was injured in the fire because residents were evacuated from nearby mobile homes during the blaze, Crimmins said.

The 20-year-old suspect was booked into jail just before midnight Saturday, jail information shows.
