A 25-year-old woman was arrested and booked into the Thurston County Jail Monday morning on warrants for residential burglary and unlawful possession of methamphetamine, according to Olympia Police Sgt. Jim Black.
Police officers found the woman at about 8:30 a.m. in a house in the 2200 block of Ninth Avenue Southwest in Olympia that they believe is her home, he said.
“We found her in the attic, hiding under a pile of blown insulation,” Black said.
Officers had tried to make contact with the woman about the warrants about 30 minutes earlier, he said.

“She provided false information, but we knew her alias,” Black said.
Officers watched the woman run to a house. When they searched the house, they ended up crawling into the attic to find her, Black said.
The woman is believed to be connected to several residential burglaries in the area, he said.
