A pedestrian who was hit and killed on Interstate 5 two weeks ago has been identified, according to Washington State Patrol.
The State Patrol, citing information from the Lewis County Coroner, identified the woman as Andrea L. Walter, 40, of Onalaska.
Troopers say the woman was lying in a lane of I-5 near Chehalis when a truck driver ran over her about 12:50 a.m. Sept. 14. The driver then pulled over to the right shoulder of the freeway, according to State Patrol.
Walter died at the scene. The two men in the truck, both British Columbia residents, were not hurt.
