A woman who died Monday when she crashed her car on a south Thurston County road has been identified, according to the Thurston County Coroner.

About 8:45 a.m. Monday, Doris Trueax, 55, of Rochester was headed north in the 16700 block of Case Road Southwest, north of Grand Mound.

Trueax drifted over the center line, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, and crashed into another car. The vehicle then left the road and rolled, ejecting Trueax, The Olympian reported.

The cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries, Coroner Gary Warnock said Tuesday.

The people in the other vehicle were reported to have suffered minor injuries, although they had to be freed from the vehicle by West Thurston Fire crews.

Case Road was closed Monday morning during the crash investigation.
