1 person injured when car crashes into cafe in Thurston County

A car crashed into the Masonry Cafe Catering building in Yelm Friday afternoon, according to Southeast Thurston Fire Authority.

According to photos shared by the fire authority, the vehicle appears to have plunged deep into the business.

“At the time of the collision, there were people inside of the building, but luckily were uninjured,” fire officials said.

However, one person in the vehicle was transported to an area hospital.

After the crash, fire crews asked residents to stay clear of the area because of the damage to the building.
