A car crashed into a Thurston County house early Saturday morning, according to Lacey Fire District 3.

About 8:30 a.m., Lacey fire crews were dispatched to the 200 block of School Street Southeast, which is in unincorporated Thurston County south of the Martin Way WinCo.

Five people plus a cat and dog were in the home at the time of the crash, but none were injured, Battalion Chief Steve Crimmins said Sunday.

The crash left the home uninhabitable, so the family was connected to the Red Cross, Crimmins said.

A tree also had to be removed to get the driver out of the vehicle, he added.

After the crash, the drive suffered a medical emergency and was taken to an area hospital, Crimmins said. The same medical emergency may have triggered the crash, he said.
