The Grays Harbor County man who died when the vehicle he was riding in rolled over on I-90 Saturday afternoon has been identified, according to Washington State Patrol.

Steven D. Rosenberg, 20, of McCleary was a passenger in a vehicle that was headed east on I-90 near the town of Sprague about 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Troopers say the 42-year-old male driver, also from McCleary, drove off the road to the right and crashed into two construction barrels. The vehicle then crossed back over both lanes of the freeway, entered the median and rolled over, according to State Patrol.

Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle. Rosenberg died at the scene; the driver was injured and taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

Neither man was wearing a seat belt, according to State Patrol. Drugs or alcohol were thought to have played a role in the crash, the State Patrol report says.

Sprague is about 35 miles west of Spokane.
