Update: The state Department of Transportation announced at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday that the ramp closures have been canceled.

Two Interstate 5 ramps that serve Tumwater will be closed during the day on Tuesday and Wednesday, the state Department of Transportation announced.

The ramps will be closed so crews can address what WSDOT officials are calling “trees of concern.”

Here are the details:

93rd Avenue Southwest: The ramp from this street to southbound I-5 will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Tumwater Boulevard: The ramp from northbound I-5 to this street will close from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday.

Travelers will follow a signed detour during the closures, a news release reads.

WSDOT officials say this type of work must be done during daylight hours.
