Olympia will close these service counters early on Friday. Here’s what to expect

The city of Olympia will close most of its public-facing counters early on Friday, Dec. 22, and will reopen them after Christmas Day.

The City Hall customer service counter will close at 2 p.m. Friday and the entire building will be closed on Monday, according to a Wednesday news release. City Hall will reopen Tuesday with regular customer service hours resuming from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the rest of the week.

The Olympia Police Department customer service counter will close at noon Friday and it will stay closed on Monday, per the release. The counter will reopen on Tuesday at 9 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. as usual.

The Olympia Fire Department will close its business office at 2 p.m. Friday and reopen at for its regular business hours on Tuesday. The city advises residents to schedule any needed fire inspections by calling 360-753-8348.

The front service counter at the Olympia Center will close at 5 p.m. Friday and reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday. The building will be closed on Saturday, Monday and Dec. 30 as well.

The release says regular service hours will vary through the end of the year based on the activity scheduled in the building. However, the building is generally open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Friday.
