Fire damages 2 vehicles in Lacey supermarket parking lot

Lacey Fire District 3 crews extinguished two vehicles on fire in the Fred Meyer parking lot early Saturday evening, the department posted on social media.

Fred Meyer is at 700 Sleater Kinney Road SE.

Fire crews were dispatched about 5 p.m. One vehicle caught fire, and that fire spread to a second vehicle in the lot, according to the post.

The fire was extinguished quickly and no one was injured, fire officials said.

Fire officials recommend that drivers have small fire extinguishers in their vehicles.
