Lacey police release photos of burglary suspect with sledgehammer. Have you seen him?
Update: The 27-year-old burglary suspect was arrested about 9:15 p.m. Monday night, according to Lacey police. He was booked on suspicion of second-degree burglary, second-degree malicious mischief and third-degree assault. The assault allegedly took place during the arrest, according to police.
Lacey police are asking the public to help identify a man accused of breaking into an area hospital with a sledeghammer.
About 2:15 a.m. Monday, police were dispatched to South Sound Behavioral Hospital on Woodland Square Loop Southeast after a report of a burglary in progress.
The man is accused of breaking into the hospital with a sledgehammer, then doing more damage once he was inside the building, The Olympian reported.
He also might be connected to two other burglaries: One at a hospital in Marysville and hours later Monday morning at a Providence clinic in Lacey. Both incidents were similar to the break in at the behavioral hospital, according to The Olympian report.
