Woman shot and killed in west Olympia Saturday morning, coroner says

A 34-year-old woman was shot and killed in west Olympia Saturday morning, according to the Thurston County Coroner and dispatch information.

Police were dispatched to a shooting about 4:50 a.m. Saturday in an area near the 1400 block of Evergreen Park Drive Southwest.

That area is near some railroad tracks in Percival Creek, Coroner Gary Warnock said. Additional information about the victim was not immediately available, he said.

The Olympian reached out to the Olympia Police Department for more information on the shooting on Sunday.
