A 37-year-old man crashed his motorcycle in northeast Lacey just before midnight Monday and later died at the scene, according to police and the Thurston County Coroner.

No other vehicle was involved in the wreck, Lacey police Sgt. Jeremy Knight said.

Lacey police and fire crews were dispatched to the 7800 block of Hawks Prairie Road Northeast, near a Home Depot distribution warehouse, about 11:55 p.m. Monday.

Medics with Lacey Fire District 3 tried to revive the man but he died at the scene.

Coroner Gary Warnock said the man’s medical exam is set for today. His name will be released once family has been notified, he said.
