Incarcerated man escapes from Correctional Industries HQ in Tumwater

Christopher Brinkley, who was incarcerated at Cedar Creek Corrections Center in Littlerock, escaped from custody in Tumwater about noon Friday. Law enforcement and DOC staff are searching the area for him.

Washington State Department of Corrections and local law enforcement are searching for Christopher Brinkley, 33, who escaped from Correctional Industries Headquarters in Tumwater about noon today.

Brinkley was incarcerated at Cedar Creek Corrections Center, the minimum security facility in Littlerock, and was at CI headquarters as part of his approved work program.

He was convicted in King County earlier this year of tampering with a witness and protection order violation and had an earned release date of June 16, 2026.

Brinkley was last seen around noon, wearing a red shirt and khaki pants.
