A 33-year-old incarcerated man who escaped in Tumwater Friday was found Tuesday in Seattle, the state Department of Corrections announced.

Christopher Brinkley escaped from Correctional Industries headquarters in Tumwater during an approved work program about noon Friday. When he’s not working, he is an inmate at Cedar Creek Corrections Center, a minimum security facility in Littlerock.

Brinkley was convicted in King County earlier this year of tampering with a witness and a protection order violation. Prior to the escape, he was set to be released June 16, 2026, according to DOC.

DOC said he is back in custody and will be held in restrictive housing. The escape will be referred to local prosecutors.
