A 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault Saturday morning after police say she stabbed her husband in the chest.

About 3 a.m., Lacey police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Willamette Drive Northeast after an initial report of a man on a run who had been stabbed.

Police arrived to find the man bleeding from his chest. He was treated by Lacey Fire District 3 crews at the scene, then taken to a hospital, Police Sgt. Jeremy Knight said Sunday.

Police later determined that the stabbing was not a random incident, but the result of domestic violence, he said.
