Lacey police are looking for two armed robbery suspects after an incident Sunday night near Yelm Highway and College Street.

About 11:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the QFC store on Whitman Lane Southeast. When they arrived, they learned that two men or possibly juveniles had entered the store and stolen four cases of beer and candy, Police Sgt. Jeremy Knight said.

After leaving the store, the suspects were approached by an employee, Knight said. That’s when the suspects brandished knives and made threatening comments to the worker, he said.

The suspects reportedly said they would “leave him bleeding,” according to Knight.

The knives were more than just pocket knives, with one described as a “curved bladed knife,” he said.

The two suspects headed toward nearby William A. Bush Park and abandoned beer cases as they left the area. Police were able to recover three of the four cases of beer, Knight said.

The suspects are thought to be 16-18 years old.

One is described as 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall and was last seen wearing a red hoodie and black pants with a red stripe. The other is a bit shorter at 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lacey police at 360-459-4333.
