Two people in their 40s were taken to an area hospital on Sunday after their vehicle crashed into a tree, Lacey police and fire officials said.

About 11:55 a.m., Lacey Fire District 3 crews and police were dispatched to Willamette Drive Northeast and Orion Drive to find the two people and a damaged four-door Cadillac.

One of the occupants was pinned as a result of the wreck, Lacey fire officials said via social media. Both the driver and passenger were injured and taken to an area hospital, said Sgt. Jeremy Knight on Sunday.

It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the crash, he said. The driver was not impaired, Knight said.
