Woman hosts friends at home, then 2 people return to rob her, Olympia police say
A man and woman were arrested earlier this month after Olympia police say they robbed a woman at gunpoint following a gathering at her home.
On the evening of Dec. 5, the 37-year-old woman was hosting friends at her home in the 100 block of Lilly Road, Police Lt. Paul Lower said. Some of the guests she knew and some were accompanied by people she didn’t know, he said.
About 9:45 p.m., a man and two women suddenly entered the residence. The man pointed a handgun at the woman resident and stole her purse, which contained money and a cell phone.
Police were able to track the movements of that cell phone and eventually stopped the suspect vehicle in west Olympia the same night, Lower said.
A 41-year-old woman and 39-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
But what about the third person who entered the residence with them?
That woman, who apparently was unaware that a robbery was about to take place, left the home as soon as the gun was pulled out, Lower said.
