Bathroom fire triggers evacuation at Lacey theater

The Regal Martin Village Stadium 16 cinemas in Lacey were evacuated about 8:30 p.m. Saturday after a fire was reported in the bathroom of the Rock Wood Fired Kitchen pizza restaurant, which is next door to the theaters.

Lacey Fire District 3 officials described the incident on social media Saturday night as a “small arson fire.”

Other details about the fire were not immediately available Sunday.

Also Saturday, Lacey Fire responded to an incident on Covington Court Northeast in which a man apparently fell about 30 feet from a zip-line platform.

The patient was in stable condition before being transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital, Lacey Fire officials said via social media.
