A 69-year-old Mason County man is facing possible criminal charges after he triggered a three-vehicle wreck on State Route 3 near Belfair Saturday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The crash involved a 67-year-old motorcyclist from Bremerton who was injured and flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

About 3:45 p.m., the Mason County man, suspected of driving under the influence, was headed west on Ridgepoint Boulevard at SR3. The motorcyclist was headed north on the same street and a third vehicle was headed south, according to State Patrol.

Troopers say the Mason County man failed to yield and triggered the wreck.

The Mason County man, who WSP cited for DUI and vehicular assault, was not hurt and neither were the two people in the third vehicle.
