Girlfriend told police man pulled, punched and choked her, then dragged her outside
A 34-year-old man was arrested last week on suspicion of multiple counts of domestic violence after he assaulted his girlfriend, according to Lacey police.
Court records show the man and woman were discussing their relationship on Sunday, Feb 16, when it escalated into an argument and then violence.
The woman later told police that he had pulled her hair, punched her in the face, choked her and then dragged her out of the house by her clothes. She drove home to Tacoma before reporting the incident, court records show.
Meanwhile, police tried to contact the suspect, but he wasn’t at home and wasn’t answering his phone. They finally reached the man on Tuesday, and although he said he would turn himself in, he did not, police say.
The suspect was finally arrested Wednesday morning in the 5500 block of College Glen Loop Southeast in Lacey.
Court records show he is facing two counts of second-degree assault, domestic violence, and one count of third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence.
