A man who was found dead inside a burning recreational vehicle near Black Lake last month has been identified.

The body of Alexander Bernstein, 34, was found Feb. 5 inside the RV he lived in, Coroner Gary Warnock told The Olympian Thursday. The cause and manner of his death is still pending a toxicology report, Warnock added.

Firefighters with the McLane Black Lake Fire District responded to his burning RV at about 11:48 p.m. in the 7000 block of Greendale Court SW, The Olympian previously reported. The blaze was promptly extinguished before it spread to an adjacent structure. Bernstein was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Brooks said the Sheriff’s Office does not believe any foul play was involved in Bernstein’s death and the fire was deemed accidental.
