Olympia woman hurt, Lacey man facing criminal charges after Saturday night wreck, WSP says

A 52-year-old Lacey man, suspected of driving under the influence, is facing a vehicular assault charge after troopers say he crashed head-on into another driver Saturday night.

About 10:30 p.m., the Lacey man was headed east on state Route 510 near Reservation Road Southeast, according to the Washington State Patrol. An Olympia woman was driving in the opposite direction. Troopers say the man crossed the center line and crashed into her car.

The 26-year-old Olympia woman was hurt and taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, according to State Patrol.

The road was blocked for more than four hours after the crash.
