Five burglary suspects, all of whom were still at large on Tuesday, used a stolen car to ram an Olympia business earlier this month, according to police.

About 5:30 a.m. March 9, police were dispatched to THC of Olympia in the 3200 block of Martin Way. They arrived to find a Kia that had been put in reverse and crashed into the building, Olympia police Lt. Paul Lower said.

The car damaged some office space, but the retail area of the marijuana business appeared to be untouched and undamaged, he said.

Police reviewed video footage and it showed five men exiting the car to try to kick in the back door of the business. Then they got back into the car and rammed it, Lower said.

They then entered the business but immediately ran out, Lower said. It appeared nothing had been taken, he said.

The Kia used to smash the building was reportedly stolen in the Seattle area. The suspects fled from the scene in a separate car waiting nearby, Lower said.

Anyone with information about the attempted burglary is asked to call Olympia police at 360-753-8300.
