The Thurston County Auditor’s Office is looking for people who want to serve on committees to produce “against” statements for ballot measures in the Nov. 3 General Election. The statements will appear in the county’s upcoming Voters’ Pamphlet.

Committees have already been formed to write in support of the measures, which include the proposed creation of the Olympia Metropolitan Park District, a $1.1 million school safety and security and technology levy for the Griffin School District and a measure that would increase the number of fire commissioners from three to five in South Bay Fire Protection District No. 8.

For more information on the committees, call the Auditor’s Office at 360-786-5408 or email elections@co.thurston.wa.us by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
