A 29-year-old Tenino man suffered serious injuries when he was involved in a hit-and-run collision on Interstate 5 near Lakewood earlier this month, according to Washington State Patrol.

Troopers are now asking for help tracking down the fleeing driver.

About 3 p.m. April 4, the Tenino man was in a gray Audi Q5 headed north near Gravelly Lake Drive when he lost control and struck a concrete barrier on the left.

“After striking the barrier, the Audi continued back into the northbound lanes, where it was struck by an unknown semi-truck traveling in the right lane,” troopers say in a news release. “The semi-truck continued from the scene without stopping.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision or may have more information about the fleeing semi-truck or its driver is asked to contact Detective Brooke Bova at brooke.bova@wsp.wa.gov or at 253-538-3202.
