Olympia police are looking for a rape suspect who attacked a woman on the city’s west side last month.

About 7 p.m. March 4, the 46-year-old woman exited a Grays Harbor Transit bus from Aberdeen. Police think she got off at a stop near Harrison Avenue and Cooper Point Road, Olympia police Lt. Paul Lower said.

From there, the woman apparently got lost, Lower said, and then found herself on a wooded trail when she was struck from behind and raped, he said.

The victim did not get a good look at the suspect, Lower said. After the attack, the woman was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, he said.

Anyone with information about the incident or suspect is asked to call Olympia police at 360-753-8300.
