A 52-year-old woman who died last week in a single-vehicle wreck on Littlerock Road has been identified, according to the Thurston County Coroner.

The woman who died was Dawn Cooper of Rochester, according to Coroner Gary Warnock.

About 4 p.m. Thursday, April 24, Thurston County Sheriff’s deputies and West Thurston Fire District crews were dispatched to the crash on Littlerock Road at 123rd Avenue Southwest.

“A vehicle left the roadway at a high rate of speed and struck a tree,” Sheriff Derek Sanders said in a social media post.

Cooper got herself out of the vehicle but died nearby. Her body was found partially in a stream, but not submerged in it, Warnock said.

A cause of death was not immediately known.
