Thurston Sheriff offers reward for info on man who fired at deputies. See the pursuit video

Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders posted footage on his social media of the pursuit that happened on May 8 with a man who shot an AR-15 style rifle and disabled a deputy’s vehicle.

He also announced a $5,000 reward for information that would help in his capture. Sanders said to call 911 or the TCSO tip line at 360-704-2740.

And in an update posted on Monday, Sanders said TCSO has located, arrested and extradited an accomplice who was assisting the wanted man, 27-year-old Damien Madison. That suspect has been booked for rendering criminal assistance first degree, a class B felony.

The pursuit video includes both in-car video and body-worn camera footage from the pursuit.

The Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for Madison, who is wanted for two felony crimes and fired the AR-15 multiple times and possibly a pistol at a pursuing deputy.

Madison is described as being 5-foot-10, 170 pounds with brown eyes and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black hat with a red bill, black T-shirt and sunglasses.

He was last seen near the Chehalis Western Trail near Waldrick and Stedman roads. People are being asked not to approach Damien Madison if seen, and to call 911 immediately.
