Olympia police are looking for a robbery suspect who was last seen wearing the mask of a character from the Batman movies.

About 2:55 a.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to a gas station/convenience store in the 2300 block of Fourth Avenue East.

A store employee told police he was in the back of the business when he heard the front doors swing open, triggering a bell.

He emerged expecting to see a customer, but instead found a man wearing a Joker mask with a handgun attached to his waist.

The man put his hands on the gun, demanded money from the employee then ran out of the store, police Lt. Paul Lower said.

Police used a police dog and a drone but did not find the man, Lower said. He is described as 5-foot-5 and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants in addition to the mask.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Olympia police at 360-753-8300.
