Multiple fire departments responded to blaze at Georgia Pacific in Olympia Monday
The Olympia Fire Department and other fire agencies in Thurston County responded to a fire at the Georgia-Pacific Corporation plant at 1203 Fones Road SE on Monday afternoon.
Olympia Fire Lt. Jerry Hall confirmed to The Olympian that the fire was first reported around noon on Monday, June 9. Units were still working on the scene at 1:30 p.m.
A small crew could be seen on the roof where a hole had been opened up and smoke was pouring out.
