Olympia Fire and Rescue Spectacular is ‘the ultimate firefighter experience’ for kids
Kids again get the chance to explore Olympia’s fleet of emergency vehicles in “the ultimate firefighter experience,” happening Saturday outside the Hands On Children’s Museum.
The annual Olympia Fire and Rescue Spectacular — a playful celebration of firefighters and first responders — returns July 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering an opportunity for kids to meet firefighters and first responders, spray a fire hose and see Olympia’s emergency vehicles up close or even climb on board. They can also take the Junior Firefighter Challenge, meet Sparky the Fire Dog, and enjoy free popsicles.
The free Fire and Rescue Spectacular will take place outside the museum at 414 Jefferson St NE, Olympia, but with admission to the museum, kids can also see wacky Dr. Science demonstrations, practice first aid techniques and even learn how to start a campfire. Tickets to the Hands on Children’s Museum can be reserved online.
This event is presented by MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and Health Network and Olympia Fire Department.
