Fire truck rolls onto its top after mechanical failure, State Patrol reports

A fire truck rolled onto its top very early Saturday because of mechanical failure, according to Washington State Patrol.

Two firefighters, a driver and passenger in the truck, were not hurt.

Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, the fire truck was headed east on state Route 102 near Sanderson Field, an airport that serves the Shelton area.

The truck attempted a right turn onto southbound U.S. Highway 101 when it experienced a mechanical failure, according to State Patrol.

The driver lost control of the truck and it rolled over onto its top in a northbound ditch. Both firefighters were wearing their seatbelts.
