Two people suffered injuries in a car crash on U.S. 101 near the Mason-Thurston county line Tuesday.

The crash occurred at about 10 p.m. at U.S. 101 milepost 355 near Oyster Bay, according to a Washington State Patrol press memo.

A 19-year-old Shelton woman reportedly failed to negotiate a curve as she drove north in a 2022 Toyota Camry. She left the roadway to the left and her car rolled before coming to rest in the median. There were three passengers in the car: two were injured and none of them wore seatbelts.

A 25-year-old Shelton woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Meanwhile, a 28-year Shelton man was transported to Mason General Hospital in Shelton. A 19-year-old Olympia man was not injured. The car was totaled.

WSP listed the cause of the collision as “too fast for conditions” in the memo. The agency also accused the driver of driving under the influence and vehicular assault.
